Post-Construction Cleaning

The contractors are gone. The dust is not.

Construction dust is not like household dust. Drywall particulate is fine enough to stay suspended in the air for hours and travels into rooms the crew never entered. It settles inside cabinets you kept closed. It coats the inside of light fixtures. It works into carpet fiber and HVAC returns and the top edge of every door.

So you sweep, and the next morning there is a fresh gray film on everything you cleaned. You wipe a counter and the cloth comes away chalky. It feels like the renovation is never actually going to end. You paid for a beautiful new kitchen and you're still living in a construction site.

It ends when someone cleans it correctly: in stages, from the top of the room down, with proper filtration, repeated until the air itself clears. That's what this is.

What the job actually involves

When we quote you $250+ starting at for post-construction cleaning, this is the work that number covers. Not a summary of it, and not the best-case version of it. This is the list.

• Debris and material removal from all work areas
• HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces, floors, and soft goods
• Multi-pass wipe-down of walls, trim, and ceilings as needed
• Cabinet and drawer interiors cleaned of dust and residue
• Window cleaning including tracks, frames, and stickers/labels
• Light fixtures, vents, and fan blades detailed
• Adhesive, paint spatter, and caulk residue removal
• Final polish pass on fixtures, glass, and hardware

If something you need is not on that list, say so when you text. It is nearly always something we can add, and it is far better to agree it beforehand than to have you disappointed by an omission neither of us discussed.
