Blinds Cleaning

Blinds are among the most dust-saturated objects in a house and one of the least frequently cleaned, for an obvious reason: a single window can have thirty slats, each with two sides, and doing it correctly means cleaning sixty surfaces on one window. In a house with fifteen windows, that's nine hundred.

So people do what's reasonable, a quick swipe with a duster that pushes dust off the front and leaves the undersides untouched, and the blinds stay effectively dirty while looking marginally better. Then sunlight comes through at the wrong angle and you can see every line you missed.

For $15 a window, every slat gets cleaned on both sides. That's the whole pitch.

When we quote you $15 per window for blinds cleaning, this is the work that number covers. Not a summary of it, and not the best-case version of it. This is the list.

• Every slat cleaned on both sides
• Headrail and valance dusted
• Cords, wands, and tilt mechanisms wiped
• Brackets and mounting hardware cleaned
• Window sill beneath cleaned after
• Suitable for faux wood, aluminum, vinyl, and wood blinds

If something you need is not on that list, say so when you text. It is nearly always something we can add, and it is far better to agree it beforehand than to have you disappointed by an omission neither of us discussed.
