Laundry (Wash, Dry, Fold)

The clean laundry has been living in the basket for six days.

It got washed. It got dried. And then it stopped, because folding is the part of laundry that has no urgency attached to it. Nothing bad happens if you don't fold. So the basket sits in the bedroom, you pull from it every morning, and by the time you finally deal with it, half of it is wrinkled enough to need re-doing.

Multiply that across a household and laundry stops being a task and becomes a permanent background condition. There is always a load in the washer that needs moving. There is always a basket. It never ends, and it occupies more mental space than anything that simple should.

We fold it into your cleaning visit. Loads run while we work the rest of the house, and everything is folded and put away before we leave.

What the job actually involves

When we quote you $30 flat rate for laundry (wash, dry, fold), this is the work that number covers. Not a summary of it, and not the best-case version of it. This is the list.

• Sorting by color, fabric, and care requirement
• Washing with your detergent or our eco-friendly option
• Correct dry settings by fabric type
• Careful folding and stacking
• Hanging items placed on hangers directly from the dryer
• Linens and towels folded to fit your storage
• Put away in drawers and closets on request

If something you need is not on that list, say so when you text. It is nearly always something we can add, and it is far better to agree it beforehand than to have you disappointed by an omission neither of us discussed.
