EVERGREEN
CLEAN LLC

WOMEN-OWNED & PROUD

Clean spaces, healthy lives,
a brighter tomorrow

Evergreen Clean LLC is Andrea Carmona's company, a small, women-owned cleaning business serving Atlanta and the surrounding metro.

Almost everybody has a story about a cleaning service that let them down.

Someone who moved through the house in ninety minutes and charged for four hours. Someone who didn’t turn up and didn’t call, on a morning that had been cleared specifically for them. Someone who said one number on the phone and a different number at the door, once the afternoon was already gone and saying no had become awkward.

Those experiences are the reason so many people give up on hiring help altogether and go back to cleaning their own homes on weekends they don’t have. It isn’t that they want to. It is that hiring help started to feel like a gamble they kept losing, and doing it yourself at least has a predictable outcome.

This company exists because that is a solvable problem, and almost nobody bothers to solve it.

Most of what goes wrong in this industry is structural rather than malicious. A crew paid per house rather than per hour is being paid, in effect, to leave early. A route packed with eight jobs a day has no slack in it, so the eighth house gets whatever time is left over. A national franchise that dispatches whoever is available cannot give you the same people twice, so nobody ever learns your home. And a company that hides its prices until it has seen your address has arranged things so it can quote you on what it thinks you can afford.

None of that requires anyone to be a bad person. It just requires a business built to optimise for volume, which is what most of them are.

What we decided to do instead

Every price is published on this website, down to fifteen dollars for a room of baseboards. You can read the whole list before you ever speak to us, and the rate for an oven is forty dollars whether you live in a studio in Midtown or a house in Buckhead.

Jobs get the hours they actually need. Some of our services are priced hourly for exactly this reason: a nine hundred square foot apartment and a three thousand square foot house that hasn’t been touched in two years aren’t the same job, and pretending otherwise means one of those customers is quietly subsidising the other.

Recurring clients get the same team every visit, so that by the third or fourth time nobody is a stranger and nobody has to re-explain the thing about the back door. And when something is wrong, you tell us within twenty four hours and we come back. There is no form and no argument, because there is nowhere for the responsibility to go except to the person whose name is on the LLC.

Why the eco-friendly part isn’t a marketing line

“A brighter tomorrow” is on our logo, and slogans like that are usually decoration. This one is a purchasing decision that costs us money, so it is worth explaining what is actually behind it.

Cleaning products are among the largest sources of indoor air pollutants in an average home. The people most exposed to them aren’t the ones who buy them. They are the children who spend their day at floor level, the pets asleep on the furniture, and, more than anyone, the cleaners themselves, who breathe those fumes in enclosed rooms every working day for years.

A product that is safe enough for the family whose house it is should be the same product that is safe enough for the woman using it forty hours a week.

Low-toxicity products cost more and sometimes need a little longer to work, which is a real trade and not a free one. We think it is the correct trade, and it is why nobody has to open the windows and leave the house for two hours after we go.

The same reasoning runs through the rest of it: supporting women building careers and businesses of their own, treating people’s homes as homes rather than as units of work, and being straight about what a job will cost and what it will and won’t fix. Grout that has been permanently dyed isn’t coming back to white, and we would rather tell you that in advance than take your money and hope you don’t notice.

None of this is complicated. It is just easier to sell a franchise than to answer for the work yourself.

Evergreen Clean LLC is Andrea Carmona’s company. When you text, you reach her. That is the whole difference, and it turns out to be most of what people actually wanted from a cleaning service in the first place.
